The incident occurred in the third quarter of the game when Davis collided with Warriors’ center, Andrew Wiggins, while trying to contest a shot. Davis appeared to take an accidental elbow to the head from Wiggins, and he immediately fell to the ground in pain.
Medical staff from both teams rushed to Davis’ aid, and after a few moments, he was able to stand up and walk off the court with assistance. The Lakers later confirmed that Davis had suffered a head injury and would not be returning to the game.
